๐ฌ๐ง Hello folks, โ๏ธ
It has been a while since I didnโt send any news!.
First of all, and as you might have understood, I havenโt been able to travel cycling yetโฆ I had to wait until mid-October to receive my bike and had just the time to cycle 3 days before the second Covid-19 wave hits us again and shut the frontiers. It hasnโt been the 4.000 km trip around Spain I was planning but at least I tried my bike and cycle some 500km. Here you have Bea, my new gravel bike :
Facing this no go and the second lockdown, I joined 3 friends and start flashing in Basque Country; my first winter here in 8 years, since I left for studying. We all wanted to transition into a more sustainable lifestyle reducing our wastes, using the local currency (eusko), buying local on the market, growing some vegetables, and sharing projects together.
Just before moving in, I traveled to Porto and visited a friend. By chance, it happened to be just during the Nazaret big waves phenomenon, it was fantastic! Some of the world's biggest waves, just after starting learning surf in Vieux Boucau. Also, I randomly met, Sylvain and Dushita that I knew during my visit to Tera (I wrote an article about this amazing territorial experimentation). They inspired me a lot!
I never told you about Etxalar, this extraordinary charming farm, lost in Nafarroa, South Basque country (theatrically Spain). Since last year, I go 2 times a year and celebrate the solstice (the beginning of the winter and of the summer) around a bond fire, taking part in an ancestral untemporal practice: the Temazcal. Maybe it raises your curiosity, or you think itโs a total bullshit or too new age, still, I really like going there.
More than Temazcal, Jone, and Johen are thinking of launching an entrepreneurial formation in-house to have a different impact and work toward a more systemic change. I follow the project with a lot of interest.
Transitioning from town to countryside hasnโt been easy. Iโm starting to reconnect to some ancient values I might have forgotten a bit. Getting more autonomous is not as easy as it could look like. Everything takes the time you cannot spend on entertaining yourself. Also, because I had no job, I could feel this underlying social pressure against the unemployed. Or you work or you are lazy. In the countryside, time is not passing by at the same pace. Where ever you go, itโs important to slow down and interact with people. In the city, you could feel the need to outstanding, have something that makes you different, here everything is organized in a more conservative way and we donโt really like the difference. You should stay on your ground. Here, you are less individualist and belongs to a group, which also means that you will stick to it and tend to enter fewer new friendsโ groups. Also, itโs a shame to understand how dependent on the car we are, and how our carbon footprint cannot be that reduced.
Another big news, I finally made reading a daily practice!! It has been some years of struggle to dedicate a moment where I could calm down and read. I read about mythology and meaning of life (Campbell), read about identity, transgender and feminism (Preciado), the meaning of life (Simon Sinek), prospective essay (Jeremy Rifkin), Open economy, about Fablab movement, about solidarity (Pablo Servigne). Iโm starting to build a library for the first time in my life. Twice a month, Iโm gathering with 2 friends for one hour and practice a reading review, thatโs super motivating!
I organized a new miracle morning routine and tried a new app to stick to it (Routinery). Starting my day without being on my phone, and mentally preparing for my day changes everything! I exercise and meditate every day, and I started learning German in duolinguo. Coherent with a change of lifestyle, I tried for the first time spending one month without alcohol and one month intermittent fasting (8 hours time frame to eat and you fast the 16 other hours, basically you skip the breakfast). I kind of stick to the intermittent fasting right now!
Other news, I joined my hometown friends to prepare a carnival play. It feels great to meet every weekend with friends and take part in the cultural life of our territory.
Last time, I was explaining that I finished the course about Adobe Suite, now Iโm forming myself with lโUniversitรฉ du Nous to facilitation and shared governance. Iโm animating some climate workshops on schools with La Fresque du Climat (primary, secondary and high school) and formed more than +100 people in 8 workshops.
Since Monday, I went back to work, because of social pressure, financial stability, socialization, and taste for the challenge. Iโm working as a marketer for an early-stage African start-up that provides a fleet management platform. We are designing a growth machine that will generate a precise quantity of commercial leads through automation and content sharing. Itโs called fleeti.co, the founder and I went to the same high school.
Last but not least, I took my decision, I will start my bikepacking trip on the 1st May of 2021! The idea is to cross Spain, Morroco, Algeria, and Tunisia, join Sicilia by boat, and then Greece to go to Turkey. I feel more secured and energized since decided on a start date and can project on an itinerary.

Epppa lagunak,
Bazuen aspaldi ez nintzela ari izan idazten eta baditut gauza andana bat zuri kondatzeko.
Lehenik, ulertu dukezun bezela, ez dut kausitu bizikletez bidaiatzeaโฆ Beha egon behar izan niz Urriaren erditsua arte ene bizikletaren errezibitzeko, hasi niz 3 egunez eta Kobidaren gatik mugak hesten zituzten. Ez da izan planifikatzen nuen 4000 kilmetroko bidaia Espaniar lurraldean, baina beden 400km batzu egin ditut, ene bizikleta eta ene gaitasunak teztatu ditut. Presentatzen dautziet Bea, ene gravel bizikleta :
Ulertu dutanean konfinamendu berri bat plantan ezartzen zaukutela, beste hiru lagunekin, koloka baten muntatzea deliberatu dugu Garazikaldean. Lehen aldia da negua pasatzen dutala Euskal herrian, utzi nuenetik estudiatzeko duela 8 urte! Berskinainborda bizi gira orain. Lauak ados ginen bizitzeko mota iraunkorrago baten plantan ezartzeko, euskoa baliatuz, merkatuan eta laborarier erosiz inahala, baratze bat eginez, eta elgar bizitza erestuz bilkur eta proiektu kolektiboekin.
Haatik, konfinamendua erori aitzin, Portugalerat joan niz, lagun baten bisitatzerat. Hori, Nazaret-eko uhain handien fenomenoaren ber momentuan izan da. Harrigarria zen. Munduko surfa praktikatzaile hoberenak hor ziren. Halabeharrean, Sylvain eta Dushita topatu ditut han, bi aste goizago ezagutu nintuenak, Tera experimentazio iraunkorra bisitatu nuelarik. (Artikulu bat idatzi dut horri buruz, sekulan interesatua).
Ez dakit hemen, Etxalarreko jadanik aipatu dautzietanez. Jone eta Johen-ek etxe xoragarri bat dute, galdua Nafarroko mendietan. Ari izan dira 20 urtez kurtxo eta taldeen errezibitzen horien etxean eta orain uste dute, horier dela kurtxoen proposatzea. Beste inpaktu mota baten ukaiteko, enpresagintza kurtsoak bultzatu nahi dituzte, jendea formatzeko enpresa sozial eta iraunkorren muntatzeko. Hurbiletik segituko dut proiektu hori, horiekin formatuko ere bai.
Behar dut aitortu, hiritik baserrirat pasatzea ez dela erretxa izan. Hasten niz berriz konektatzen ahatzi nintuen balore batzuer eta ohartzen autonomรญa geihagoren biltzea ez dela hain erretxa. Bestalde langabezian egoitearekin, ohartzen zira nola jendeak jujatzen duen. Badira edo langileak edo alferrak. Beste gauza bat, baserrian, denbora ez da berdin neurtzen eta leku handiago bat emana da eguneroko interakzioer. Gaizki ikusia da postarat joaitea denbora hartu gabe zure bidean kurutzatzen dituzunekilan mintzatu gabe. Gizartea kontserbadoreagoa da ere bai. Hirian ikusia izan behar bazira, baserrian hobe duzu zure lekuan egoitea, diferentzia ez da berdin preziatua. Hemen, indibidualismo gutiago ikusten dugu eta elkartasun geihago (nahiz eta aldatzen ari den ere). Horrek erran nahi du ere, zure lagun taldeari lotua zirela eta lagun berrien egiteko zailago izanen dela. Beste ikasi bat, ez da hain ebidentea zure karbono aztarnaren ttipitza, otoaren erabiltzearekin indar guziak xahutzen dituzu.
Beste berri baten gehitzeko, azkenean lortu dut serioski irakurtzen hastea. Mitologia eta biziaren sentsuari buruz irakurri dut (Campbell), identitatea, transgeneroa eta feminismoari buruz irakurri dut (Precidado), biziaren sentsuaz berriz (Simon Sinek), geroaren bisio bat (Jeremy Rifkin), ekonomia idekiari buruz (Open Models), Fablab mugimenduer buruz eta elkartasunari buruz krisia momentu horietan (Servigne). 2 lagunekin, bi asterik behin biltzen gira gure irakurketen aipatzeko eta horrek nu zinez motibatu egunerokoan irakurtzeko denboraren hartzeko.
Leku berri batek usaien aldatzeak baliabidetzen du. Ene goizak diferenteki antolatuak dira eta jatzartzeko denbora hartzen dut, rutina bat segituz, mugikorrarik gabe, meditazioa pratikatze, hizkuntzak ikasten ere bai (hor alemandarra). Bestalde, lehen aldikotz, desafiatu niz hilabete batez ez alkolik edateko eta barur intermitante baten egiteko (jaten ahal duzu 8 oreneko epe batea, ondotik 16 oren dituzu zure gorputzaren usteko pausatzen).
Herriko gazteekin, Libertimenduaren muntatzen ari gira Irisarrin, plazerra da horri konektatzea berriz!
Joan den aldian esplikatzen nautzien Abobe Suite-aren kurtxoak finitu nintuela, hor Universitรฉ du Nous-rekin segitzen dut fazilitazio kurtxo bat. Uste dut, azkenean maite dutan arlo bat atxeman dutala, eta hori jorratu nahi nukeela epe luzean. Bestalde, klima murala itzuli eta euskaraz, eskoletan animazioak antolatzen ditut, ehun bat baino ikasle geihago formatu.
Astelehenetik, lana berriz hartu dut. Arrazoin ainitzek motibatu nindute. Lehenik presione soziala, gero erosotasun ekonomikoa, gero soziabilizatzea, eta desafio berri baten ukaitea. Iban Olรงomendik muntatu Afrikar startup batentzat ari niz, oto profesional multzoen kudeaketa eresten duen plataforma bat saldua da. Nik, Marketing estrategia lantzen dut.
Azkenik, bizkletez bidaiatzeko deliberoa hartu dut, maiatzaren lehenean banoa 6 hilabeterentzat. Badut ideia Espaรฑa, Maroko, Algeria eta Tunisarekin zeharkatzea, gero Ziziliarat joaiteko itsas-untziz, gero Grezia eta Turkia arte. Izigarri motibatua senditzen niz delibero hori hartuz geroztik
L'hiver au Pays Basque
Hey hey,
Je vous prรฉsente Bรฉa, partenaire in crimeย :
Suite ร ce no go et au deuxiรจme confinement, avec 3 amis on a montรฉ une colocation et jโรฉtais installรฉ pour passer lโhiver au Pays Basque, premiรจre fois en 8 ans, depuis mon dรฉpart pour les รฉtudes.
Autre grande nouveautรฉ, รงa y est je me suis mis ร lire rรฉguliรจrement !
